This is a mild-bodied, very mild and fruity oil pressed from the Kalamata olive.  The olives are hand-picked in the Peloponnese and shipped to our producer in Italy for pressing.  As a great everyday oil, use for sautés, marinades and dressings.

Greek Salad

Ingredients 

  • 3 vine ripe tomatoes, cut into chunks
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • ½ cucumber, cut into bite size chunks
  • 1 small red bell pepper, seeded & chunked
  • 1 c. black olives
  • ½ c. sprigs of fresh parsley
  • 1 Tbsp. dried oregano
  • ¼ lb. Greek feta
  • ¼ c. FROM OLIVES TO OIL® Greek EVOO
  • 3 Tbsp. FROM OLIVES TO OIL® White Balsamic Vinegar
  • Season Salt

Directions

Combine vegetables, olives, and parsley in a large bowl.  Rest sliced feta on the top of salad.   Combine oil, vinegar, and oregano in a small plastic container with a lid.  Shake vigorously to combine oil and vinegar and pour over salad and cheese. Season with season salt and let the salad marinate until ready to serve.  Serve salad with warm pita bread from grill.
